Sick of your iPod playlist?

November 10th, 2006 by Endless Aspiration

I spend a lot of time in the car, about two hours a day sitting in Chicago traffic. So I spend a lot of time listening to my iPod. I turned on my iPod today and was able to listen to it for an hour straight without having to skip a song. It had been almost a year since I was able to do that.

What’s my secret? No I didn’t update my playlist. I didn’t get rid of all the songs that make me wonder why I put them on there in the first place. I’ve spent the last two weeks listening to books on tape. It’s amazing how much faster my commute goes by when I have a decent storyline to keep me distracted. I’m becoming more intelligent with little to no effort on my part. It’s completely subconscious learning.

Don’t get me wrong there are definitely days when I need to listen to some music, but my songs sound so much sweater when I haven’t heard them for a while.
