I guess I spent that much this month

February 17th, 2007 by digerati

How much did you spend last month? Get started at iwillteachyoutoberich.comHave you ever gotten your credit card bill in the mail and said “I spent that!”

I have, and I imagine most of you have as well. Budgeting is really hard. it’s hard to decide how much you will spend on each category, and it’s even harder to stick to those amounts.

Budgeting requires us to be honest with ourselves about how much we spend and essentially deciding which areas of our lives are most important to us. often times, these areas we see spending in are not what we want to be the most important, and that can be depressing.

But budgeting is the only effective way to let us decide how we want our lives to run. Use Quicken, Money, a spreadsheet or just a piece of paper; but write it down.

Gee, do you really say that? I do all the time, but I have the income to back it up if I go overboard. So I am more careful to not go over my self-imposed limit.

      Hi Digerati,

It happens with almost all the people, when they see something like this. I agree with you on writing down information on spreadsheet or on the paper to know what’s happening.
