Never Eat Alone Introduction

This is an excellent book that I expected to be awful. I paged through it several times at Borders because I kept seeing good comments about it. As I paged through I kept thinking there was nothing original in the book; I’d read it all in other networking books and other “success” books before. While it is true that Keith Ferrazzi has taken from these books (7 Habits, Dale Carnegie, …) Never Eat Alone
is also an amazing summery of networking in general. You should definitely buy this book and review your progress against his advice. He manages to pack an entire library of networking knowledge into a single volume in a fairly entertaining way.
Unlike the other books I’ve reviewed chapter by chapter (see How You Make the Sale series and Bogleheads Guide to Investing
series) I will be displaying the points I got out of each chapter and then writing about my own experience in regards to those points. I’m hoping that you buy Never Eat Alone, but also I’m hoping that people will leave comments giving other things they got from each chapter but also in their own experiences and networking strategies.
